Patrick Andrew has been writing music for 20 years. Starting with the Grammy nominated, Dove Award winning band, PFR, in the 1990’s, he penned several of their songs on the CCM charts. Since then, he has taught songwriting seminars, produced independent albums in many genres of music, written dozens of songs of worship for his church community, and you may have even heard one of his several songs on popular TV shows over the last few years.
The idea for Our Story is a Song came to him when he wrote the songs for his own wedding in 2006. Patrick met Heather on a music mission trip to Scotland. They both remember the night they were at a Scottish dance called a ceili, hoping they would dance together, and then taking a windy walk where Patrick said “you know I like you, don’t you?” only to have his umbrella blow out! He was able to capture these memories in their song that they will treasure forever.
